Swiss ISP iWay has selected Nokia’s Data Centre Fabric (DCF) and Event-Driven Automation (EDA) platform alongside Kyndryl’s network management services to modernise its data-centre operations. A proof-of-concept in Zurich led to an initial deployment comprising 32 leaf switches and two spine switches, fully automated via the EDA platform.

Kyndryl’s Paul Savill highlights that such automation improves security and regulatory compliance and reflects a growing demand among operators integrating new technologies into existing infrastructure. Research from Kyndryl indicates that 84 per cent of telecom business leaders expect AI to be essential to their strategic goals in the next three years, while 79 per cent across industries feel pressure to modern-ise infrastructure for AI compatibility.
