A humanoid robot that stands 5’7″ and lifts 55 lb
In May of last year, Sanctuary revealed its system, Phoenix. The system is 5’7″ tall (a very normal height for these devices) and weighs 155 pounds.
Phoenix is not Sanctuary’s first humanoid (an early model was deployed in a Canadian shop), but it is the first to walk on legs, even though the majority of public films only show the system’s torso.
The company has also concentrated some of its efforts on developing dexterous hands, which is a vital feature if the system is to grow beyond moving around totes.
