  • The APRICOT 2025 Program Committee is inviting proposals for presentations and tutorials for the conference taking place from February 19 to 27, 2025, in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Early submissions are encouraged as speaking slots will fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Topics of interest include routing security, network automation, and emerging technologies such as IPv6 and Web 3.0. Proper credit for referenced material is essential, and all proposals must include draft slides.

What happened

The APRICOT 2025 Program Committee (PC) has launched its call for presentations, inviting industry experts to contribute to the conference scheduled for February 19 to 27, 2025, in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This year’s event promises to explore a diverse array of topics, aiming to enhance understanding and operations within the Internet infrastructure space.

The committee is particularly keen to hear from presenters who can deliver insightful technical tutorials, engage as speakers during conference sessions, or facilitate panel discussions. Informal Birds of Feather (BoF) breakout sessions are also encouraged, offering an interactive environment for sharing knowledge.

Key Milestones

  • Open for Submissions: Now
  • Outline Program Published: As presentations are confirmed
  • Final Submission Deadline: January 27, 2025
  • Final Program Published: February 3, 2025
  • Final Slides Due: February 17, 2025

It’s essential for potential speakers to note that slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so early submissions are highly recommended.

Content Areas of Interest

The APRICOT 2025 conference program will consist of three main components: the Peering Forum, technical tutorials, and conference tracks. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • IPv4 and IPv6 routing operations
  • Routing security technologies such as RPKI and MANRS
  • Internet backbone operations and peering
  • Content Distribution Network (CDN) technologies
  • Network automation and programming
  • Emerging technologies, including Web 3.0 applications

Presenters are expected to submit draft slides along with their proposals, as incomplete submissions will be automatically rejected. All materials must be in PDF format and should exclude any proprietary content, ensuring that the focus remains on knowledge sharing rather than marketing.

Why this is important

The APRICOT 2025 conference is crucial for advancing the discourse in Internet operations and technologies. By providing a platform for industry experts to share insights, the event fosters collaboration and innovation, addressing vital areas such as routing security, network automation, and the deployment of emerging technologies like IPv6 and Web 3.0. Engaging in these discussions is essential for shaping the future of Internet infrastructure, ultimately leading to more resilient and efficient systems.

For further inquiries or to submit proposals, potential presenters are encouraged to check the official website for more details.
