When asked about the biggest threat to the telecom industry, Andrey was clear: “AIT is probably the biggest issue we are facing today.” Unlike artificial intelligence or flash calls, which he believes can be managed, Artificially Inflated Traffic presents a deeper challenge. “It’s dangerous,” he explained. “Only the end customers — the enterprises being scammed—are not happy. All others like aggregators, wholesale carriers, even mobile network operators, they’re fine about that. It just makes their volumes bigger and boosts their margins.” He recalled a recent case: “One of our customers told me they started seriously filtering out artificial traffic, and their volumes decreased by 50 percent. It’s difficult to be on the fair play side.” Asked whether Alaris Labs plans to use AI-based support engineers, Andrey said: “People will notice that. Our platform is very sophisticated. It’s not call center work.”
