Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has embarked on a significant digital transformation journey by partnering with Amadeus to enhance the traveler experience through the deployment of the Amadeus Reference Experience. This collaboration is a critical part of RAM’s ambitious development plan aimed at modernising its services and expanding its global footprint by 2037.

Under this partnership, RAM will introduce a new mobile interface that will allow passengers to effortlessly manage their bookings, complete check-ins, and access additional services. This initiative is designed to boost customer satisfaction by offering a smoother and more efficient digital experience. Passengers will also benefit from a disruption management option, enabling them to easily find alternative flights through the app in case of any interruptions.

Strategic digital transformation

The CEO of Royal Air Maroc, Mr. Addou Abdelhamid, emphasised the importance of this partnership, highlighting how technology will play a pivotal role in RAM’s future growth. The airline aims to establish itself as a global connector across five continents by 2037, and the collaboration with Amadeus is a crucial step towards achieving this vision.

Amadeus, represented by Maher Koubaa, EVP Travel Unit and Managing Director EMEA, expressed pride in supporting RAM’s digital transformation. The Amadeus solution will allow RAM to offer a seamless experience, enabling passengers to update their bookings anytime, directly through the platform, without the need for third-party intervention.

Ambitious growth plans

As Morocco’s flag-carrier, RAM is already a significant player in the aviation industry, connecting to over 80 airports worldwide with a fleet of more than 50 aircraft. The airline’s strategic overhaul aims to expand its fleet and significantly increase passenger numbers, targeting 32 million annual passengers by 2037. This partnership with Amadeus marks a crucial milestone in RAM’s journey towards becoming a leader in global air travel.
