The collaboration will combine SingTel’s expertise in data centres and connectivity with Hitachi’s capabilities in data centre integration, including green energy solutions, cooling systems, storage infrastructure and data management. The goal of the collaboration is to improve data centre performance and functionality to accelerate AI adoption and the digital transformation of enterprises.

The agreement builds on the companies’ previous partnership, which included integrating SingTel’s Paragon platform with Hitachi’s AI applications for manufacturing operations and enterprise customers. The collaboration aims to address the challenges customers face when implementing AI capabilities. Japan has become one of the largest and fastest-growing data centre markets in the Asia-Pacific region as demand for AI and cloud services continues to grow. The market is expected to reach $5 billion by 2028, growing at a CAGR of 9.8%.
