The data center operator revealed on Wednesday that EDGE2, situated in South Jakarta’s Jl. Kuningan Mulia, less than 3 kilometers from EDGE1, which is one of the most interconnected data centers in Jakarta.It is designed to meet the growing demands of hyperscale and AI deployments. The construction of EDGE2 also takes environmental protection into account , emphasizing efficiency and cleanliness.
New database
Digital Edge, a data center operator, announced on Wednesday that its second data center facility in downtown Jakarta, named EDGE2, is now operational and ready to serve large-scale customers.
EDGE2 is situated in Jl. Kuningan Mulia, South Jakarta, less than 3 kilometers from EDGE1. EDGE2 ,with a total IT load of 23 MW and over 3,400 racks, is the largest data center in the metro area, aiming to meet the growing demand for large-scale and artificial intelligence deployments.
EDGE2 offers scalability and connectivity options, including access through a virtual campus to over 50 network carriers and several Internet Exchanges located at EDGE1, including the Indonesia Internet Exchange (IIX) and Edge Peering Internet Exchange (EPIX). EDGE2 also features four different main entry points into the facility to further support interconnectivity and redundancy.

Focus on environment
EDGE2 is the most energy-efficient data center in Jakarta, incorporating renewable energy solutions and green building features, with the prospect of achieving LEED Gold Certification. Meanwhile, liquid cooling technology enables EDGE2 to support high power density deployments and achieving an annualized PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of 1.24 at the same time.
Samuel Lee stated “With its innovative and highly energy-efficient design, we believe EDGE2 will be able to meet the increasing demand for large-scale and artificial intelligence applications.”
