CBH Engineering Holding Bhd's wholly owned subsidiary, CBH Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured an RM88.05 million contract to design and build a 275kV consumer landing station for a data centre in Selangor. The customer has not been named because of a non-disclosure agreement. CBH said it is a Malaysian private company involved in infrastructure for hosting, data processing and related activities.

CBH is responsible for the detailed design, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of the station. The contract began on 13 August 2026 and is scheduled for completion by 12 May 2027. Its value includes taxes, insurance and the Construction Industry Development Board levy.

The assessment

The contract puts a specific part of the data centre's power connection on a delivery timetable. CBH is responsible for the station from detailed design through installation, testing ,and commissioning, rather than supplying individual pieces of electrical equipment.

Completing the station would give the project the high-voltage infrastructure needed to receive power at the site. It would not mean the data centre itself is ready to operate.
