Summary

  • "Tideo Administration" (nic-hdl TA8097-RIPE) is a RIPE Database role object created and last modified 2021-07-28. It is recorded as admin-c and tech-c for AS210972 (TIDEO-AS), whose organisation ORG-TA1587-RIPE is Tideo ApS, a Danish company registered as CVR 38351222. Public Danish company data links that registration to Kevin Vincent Als (see company data on Connect365 ApS, company profile and business profile).
  • Tideo ApS publicly announced the closure of all hosting services effective 2025-04-01, while its parent Connect365 ApS (CVR 38351222 in some company-data records) has continued operating as a managed-services and IoT business. The role object's name does not indicate an insolvency administrator, and no public source establishes any insolvency administration for the operator.
  • AS210972's routing footprint is effectively dormant: RIPEstat reports no RIS-visible originating prefixes and no transit, and Hurricane Electric's data reports no global routing visibility since 2026-04-16, with one IPv6 prefix (2a03:302:ffff::/48) still labelled "Tideo Administration" and a sole peer, GlobalConnect A/S (AS31027).
  • The accountability question is registry-native: the role object shows no abuse-mailbox, the organisation carries abuse-c ACRO42495-RIPE, and no public source establishes registry termination, transfer, or who currently answers the contact.

The name invites a wrong reading. In Danish corporate practice, "administration" could suggest an insolvency administrator overseeing a failed company. The registry data does not support that. In the RIPE Database, a role object is a contact construct — an organisational handle that can stand as admin-c, tech-c or abuse-c for resources without naming a specific living person. "Tideo Administration" is exactly that: TA8097-RIPE, created 2021-07-28, attached as admin-c and tech-c to AS210972 under ORG-TA1587-RIPE (RIPE Database). Its last-modified date in the authoritative data matches its creation date, 2021-07-28 — the handle has been untouched for five years.

The operator behind it is real and its history is public. Tideo ApS is a Danish company connected to registration 38351222, which public Danish company data links to Kevin Vincent Als. The company's own channels announced that all hosting services would close effective 2025-04-01, with the parent Connect365 ApS continuing as a managed-services and IoT provider (see tideo.dk, tideo.connect365.dk and BTW's earlier coverage). That is a business decision, publicly communicated, and nothing in the registry or company data establishes any insolvency administration. BTW treats the "administration" in the role object's name as what the data shows: a registry naming choice, not a legal status.

What remains is the routing shadow. RIPEstat reports AS210972 originating no RIS-visible prefixes and not seen transiting (RIPEstat). Hurricane Electric's mirror reports no global routing visibility since 2026-04-16, yet still lists one IPv6 prefix — 2a03:302:ffff::/48 — labelled "Tideo Administration", with GlobalConnect A/S (AS31027) as the sole peer (bgp.he.net, CIDR Report). An autonomous system that originates nothing and transits nothing still holds its registration, its organisation and its contact handles. Registry registration is not a route announcement; the two can diverge for years.

The mirrors then disagree about who the contact is. bgp.he.net shows the role object's admin-c and tech-c masked as DUMY-RIPE (bgp.he.net), consistent with RIPE's documented removal of personal data from the database (removal of personal data); IPIP.NET (whois mirror), CIDR Report (AS report) and IPGeolocation.io (ASN browse) still display TA8097-RIPE. Reported organisation last-modified dates also diverge across mirrors — 2022-12-01, 2026-04-29, 2026-05-13 — while the authoritative role object shows 2021-07-28; aggregate mirrors such as ip.cc carry their own divergent snapshots. RIPE's own documentation explains the mechanism for the masking: the registry removes personal data on request, which is how a named contact becomes DUMY-RIPE. What the documentation does not establish is whether a removal request in this case reflects an active data subject or an abandoned contact. No public source answers that. BTW's earlier review of the same footprint found the dormant registry record unchanged (BTW, dormant ASN registry footprint unchanged).

The abuse-contact path narrows further. The role object itself shows no abuse-mailbox, a gap BTW's earlier coverage of this handle documented (BTW, Tideo Administration RIPE contact). The organisation's abuse-c is ACRO42495-RIPE, and RIPE's abuse-contact documentation (Types of Queries: Abuse Contacts) describes how abuse-c functions on organisation objects. Whether ACRO42495-RIPE resolves to an answered mailbox is exactly the kind of thing RIPE's abuse-contact economics leave unverified — a contact that exists in the database is not a contact that answers.
