What Happened
The SecureBrain page is a company transaction story, not a people profile. Hitachi Systems announced on 24 January 2024 that SecureBrain Corporation would merge into Hitachi Systems, and the merger took effect on 1 April 2024.
Hitachi Systems linked the deal to expansion of its managed security services business. It described SecureBrain as a cybersecurity specialist in the Hitachi Systems group and highlighted SecureBrain's strengths in web security, mobile application security and anti-ransomware technology.
Why It Matters
The merger did not retire the SecureBrain brand. Hitachi Systems said SecureBrain products and services would continue under that brand after the integration, including PhishWall and GRED. Supporting product pages from Hitachi Systems and SecureBrain describe GRED Web Check, GRED Web Security and related vulnerability assessment and web monitoring offerings.
The useful business read is that Hitachi Systems is folding a specialist security team and product line into a larger services organization. That can make SecureBrain tools easier to pair with managed security operations, sales channels and global expansion plans.
