Lynk already has satellites in orbit and experience connecting them directly to standard mobile phones. Omnispace brings coordinated S-band spectrum that can support satellite services, subject to national authorisations. Elveo can now plan how those satellites and frequencies are used together, rather than coordinating them across two separate companies. SES remains an infrastructure partner, providing access to space and ground systems where agreed. That combination still has to become a working commercial network. Elveo needs to integrate the two companies’ technologies, deploy additional satellites, secure spectrum approvals in individual markets and connect its service with participating mobile operators. These steps determine where the service can actually launch and what it can support; the merger itself does not resolve them.
