Summary
- Three independent routing observers agree that AS210860 has been absent from the global routing table since 26 March 2026, yet no observed change has occurred in its registry objects, its self-declared peering profile or its address resources since then.
- The only source still describing the network as active is an unaudited, self-declared PeeringDB-derived record republished by a third party; the canonical PeeringDB endpoint was not retrieved in this run and its current state remains unverified.
- Falsifying signals are precise and checkable: a prefix re-announcement, a modification or deletion of the aut-num or role objects, an entry in RIPE's IPv4 transfer statistics, or an edit to the PeeringDB record. None has appeared.
Three observers, one conclusion
Hurricane Electric's BGP toolkit reports AS210860 as absent from the global routing table since 26 March 2026, with zero currently announced prefixes, zero RPKI-valid and zero RPKI-invalid originated entries, and a single observed peer, AS9211 Nawork Internet Informationssysteme GmbH Hurricane Electric. The only prefix it has ever originated is 193.21.248.0/21, described on the same page as belonging to EDEKA DIGITAL GmbH Hurricane Electric. RIPEstat states that the ASN does not originate prefixes visible in RIS and is not seen as a transiting AS, with its data points dated 14 September 2026 RIPEstat. CIDR Report lists the ASN under the name EDEKA_DIGITAL, DE, with the status heading "NOT Announced", used neither to announce prefixes nor as visible transit CIDR Report.
The registry surface has not moved
A third-party mirror of RIPE Database output shows the aut-num object as it has stood since 2021: as-name edeka_digital, organisation ORG-EDG14-RIPE, status ASSIGNED, created 24 August 2021 and last modified 27 October 2021, with admin-c and tech-c pointing at DA9499-RIPE — the DFINFRA role handle IPIP.NET mirror. The same mirror renders the organisation as EDEKA Verwaltungs- und Beteiligungs GmbH (District court Hamburg HRB 90516, LIR, New-York-Ring 6, 22297 Hamburg) and reports a last-modified date of 13 May 2026 on the organisation object; the DFINFRA role object itself was created 10 June 2021 and last modified 27 October 2021 IPIP.NET mirror. A second mirror instead renders the organisation as EDEKA DIGITAL GmbH with a 2021 last-modified date and attributes an IPv4 peer to AS32787 Akamai Technologies — attributions that conflict with the other mirror and with Hurricane Electric's observed peer IP.CC mirror. The authoritative RIPE Database lookup remains the origin for the live aut-num state RIPE Database lookup.
Whether the May 2026 organisation-object modification reflects a name change, a merger record or another attribute is not shown by the mirror and is unresolved on the evidence retained here. What the record does not show is any change to the aut-num or the role object after the network went silent.
The stale market surface persists
A HostDir page republishing a PeeringDB-derived record for AS210860 under the name EDEKA DIGITAL still self-declares ten IPv4 prefixes, one IPv6 prefix and an open peering policy HostDir. It is the only retrieved source describing the ASN as anything other than dormant, and it is an unaudited self-declaration republished by a third party. The canonical PeeringDB API record for the ASN was not retrieved in this run; its current state, prefix counts and peering policy cannot be verified at origin, and no claim is made here about its content PeeringDB API. Derived databases add their own contradictions: IPinfo labels the ASN "Inactive" with zero prefixes IPinfo, while a fragmentary label on another derived page shows "Status Active" for the same ASN CheckIP.
No resource disposition is observable
RIPE documents how role objects are created and updated within its database, and publishes transfer statistics for IPv4 within its service region as the public ledger for address transfers RIPE Database documentation, database organisation guidance and the IPv4 transfer statistics. Neither ledger shows anything for AS210860's address space in the retained evidence. The address block 193.21.248.0/21 appears unchanged; no transfer entry, no re-announcement, no object deletion. Prior BTW coverage documented the identity of the registry role, the routing divergence, the lifecycle ledger, the verification-cost question and the registry-signal record BTW lifecycle ledger, BTW routing evidence and BTW registry signal, but no previous piece examined what, if anything, changed after the silence. The answer, six months on, is: nothing observable.
