Summary

  • On 20 February 2025, two separate /18 blocks moved from V.TAL under LACNIC to Globenet under ARIN. Each contained 16,384 IPv4 addresses.
  • Globenet transferred one /18 to Infomaniak in the RIPE NCC region on 25 March 2026 and the other on 28 October, 217 calendar days later.

The two blocks arrived at ARIN on the same day. LACNIC's transfer file records 179.237.64.0/18 and 200.234.64.0/18 moving on 20 February 2025 from V.TAL - REDE NEUTRA DE TELECOMUNICACOES S.A. to Globenet Cabos Submarinos America Inc. Its rows identify LACNIC as the source RIR and ARIN as the recipient RIR. ARIN's own export lists both same-day incoming ranges. There is no need to guess whether the second resource resembles the first: the starting and ending addresses match byte for byte.

Then the pair separated. The ARIN log places 179.237.64.0/18 on an outbound transfer from Globenet to Infomaniak Network SA on 25 March 2026. It records 200.234.64.0/18 following the same source and recipient across the ARIN–RIPE NCC boundary on 28 October. The RIPE NCC incoming table independently identifies both /18s, their dates and Infomaniak as recipient. One onward movement preceded the other by 217 days. The logs do not disclose why the dates differ.

The current RIPE RDAP entry for the March block and the October block show their exact address boundaries and CH-INFOMANIAK-20250220, each with the corresponding 2026 registration date. Together the disjoint blocks contain 32,768 addresses—the count of a /17, but not one contiguous /17. The evidence follows two specific resources, not an invented combined prefix.
