Today, it operates as a subsidiary of Vega Telecom, jointly owned by PLDT and Globe Telecom. Eastern Communications has been instrumental in enhancing the Philippines’ digital infrastructure. A notable achievement is its participation in the Philippine Domestic Submarine Cable Network (PDSCN), a 2,500 km project developed in collaboration with Globe Telecom and InfiniVAN. This initiative aims to provide reliable connectivity to underserved regions, with 80% of the cables laid underwater to minimise disruptions .
