The Portuguese capital has become a central point for transatlantic data exchange, benefitting from increased submarine cable deployments by hyperscalers and global carriers.

As part of its strategy, TelCables Europe is expanding its data centre footprint in Lisbon, targeting service providers and AI-driven workloads, while exploring GPU-enabled solutions across Portuguese-speaking markets. The company operates around 3,000 kilometres of submarine cable across the Atlantic, with extended reach through partnerships, covering approximately 88,000 kilometres of fibre routes.
