Summary

  • Poyraz WiFi’s homepage displays 16,431 individual subscribers, 304 corporate subscribers, 20.1 Gbps and 1,335 transmitter points, while describing service in Gölcük, Başiskele and İzmit.
  • RIPE links the same company to ORG-PLC4-RIPE and AS212538. The registered policy names AS9121 and AS206119; the captured RIPEstat result observed AS15924 and AS9121.
  • Those records describe scale and a dated routing surface. They do not disclose transmitter power, backhaul concentration, spare equipment, field-repair coverage or measured restoration performance.

The most revealing number on Poyraz WiFi’s homepage may be 1,335. It is presented as a count of transmitter points beside 16,431 individual subscribers, 304 corporate subscribers and 20.1 Gbps. The same page says the company serves homes and businesses in Gölcük, Başiskele and İzmit, advertises unlimited access and shows popular 12 Mbps and 24 Mbps tariffs. These are company-published counters and offers; the page does not state their measurement date, definitions or audit method.

The FAQ explains the access mechanism plainly. Wireless internet travels from antennas at PoP locations to a receiving antenna at the customer’s building, then into a modem or computer. It also says a service transfer is possible only inside the coverage area. That makes locality an operating fact, not merely a marketing label: every usable connection depends on a chain of sites, power, radios, line-of-sight or spectrum conditions, backhaul, core systems, customer equipment and people able to diagnose the fault.

The same FAQ attributes a 99% continuity statement to the provider, even after local weather is considered. The claim is relevant but incomplete. The reviewed page gives no denominator, time window, exclusion policy, geographic scope or distinction between access availability and end-to-end internet reachability. It therefore cannot be expanded into a network-wide SLA or compared cleanly with another provider’s figure.

RIPE supplies a firmer identity layer. Its organisation object records Poyrazwifi Telekomunikasyon iletisim San.Tic.Ltd.Sti, country TR, registration number 14949, LIR type and a Kocaeli address. The aut-num object records AS212538, the name poyraznet, ORG-PLC4-RIPE and ASSIGNED status. Its registered import and export policy names AS9121 and AS206119.

Dated observation is different from registered intent. In the captured RIPEstat prefix result, AS212538 originated 185.180.30.0/24, 185.180.31.0/24 and 185.34.128.0/24 during the 22 August–5 September 2026 window. The captured neighbour result listed AS15924 and AS9121 on the left side. Only AS9121 appears in both that observation and the reviewed policy. The difference is a reason to ask how registration, live routing and supplier arrangements relate; it is not proof of an outage, an undeclared contract or a resilience failure.

The economics sit below these public traces. A regional wireless operator has to place and power sites, acquire or lease backhaul, maintain radios and customer equipment, keep spares close enough to the service area, staff support and field response, absorb weather and access constraints, and still price the service competitively. More transmitter points may extend reach while also increasing the inventory that must be monitored and repaired. An ASN can improve routing control while leaving a common duct, power source, core system or field team as the real bottleneck.

The practical diligence exercise is a service-to-repair map. For each retail, corporate, municipal, hotspot, point-to-point or Metro Ethernet offer, buyers should ask which access technology is used; which site and power system serve it; how backhaul and upstream paths are arranged; which alarms reach which team; where spares sit; what manual fallback exists; and what dated incident evidence demonstrates restoration. The Metro Ethernet page markets symmetric dedicated access and speeds from 5 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s, but product range still is not observed capacity or achieved service.

Poyrazwifi’s public footprint is useful precisely because it reveals the limits of public evidence. The counters, registry objects and routing observations identify where to investigate. The product customers ultimately buy, however, is not a count of radios or an ASN. It is the operator’s ability to find a break, reach it, replace what failed and restore the entire path.
