Kasetsart University (KU), founded on 2 February 1943, holds the distinction of being Thailand’s first institution dedicated to agricultural sciences. Initially established to promote subjects related to agricultural science, KU has since broadened its academic horizons to include life sciences, engineering, social sciences, and humanities. This evolution reflects the university’s commitment to adapting to the changing educational landscape while maintaining its foundational focus on agriculture.

The main campus, located in Bangkhen, Bangkok, is complemented by several other campuses across Thailand, including Kamphaeng Saen, Sriracha, and Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province. KU’s commitment to research is evident through its numerous research centres and institutes, such as the Kasetsart University Research and Development Institute (KURDI) and the Institute of Food Research and Product Development (IFRPD).
