Bridging the digital divide in India

Thaicom’s satellite services aim to significantly enhance India’s digital infrastructure by targeting underserved areas, including rural markets where traditional broadband infrastructure is limited or unavailable. With the rapidly growing demand for internet access and digital services, especially in rural India, satellite technology offers an effective solution to bridge the digital divide. IPSTAR India plans to roll out broadband satellite services through its network, providing high-speed internet connectivity that will empower local communities, drive economic growth, and improve access to educational and healthcare resources in remote locations.

Thaicom’s long-term commitment to India

Thaicom’s involvement in India dates back to 1997, making it one of the pioneers in delivering satellite services to the country. The company has consistently worked to expand its presence and strengthen its relationship with Indian businesses, government agencies, and local communities. With IPSTAR India at the helm of the company’s operations in India, Thaicom plans to continue delivering high-quality satellite services that support the country’s digital ambitions. The launch of THAICOM 9 in 2025 will play a pivotal role in addressing the increasing demand for broadband, allowing Thaicom to expand its offerings and provide cutting-edge satellite solutions to India’s diverse markets.
