Summary

  • The October 13 draft agenda labels PPM Dates as AFPUB-2026-GEN-002-DRAFT01, the archived first Dashboard draft.
  • AFRINIC’s current index and proposal pages identify PPM Dates as GEN-003-DRAFT01 and the Dashboard as GEN-002-DRAFT02.

The RPD-list reminder sent on 13 October presents an AFRINIC-38 draft timetable. Its 14:25–15:15 line names “Public Policy Meeting (PPM) Dates” and assigns it AFPUB-2026-GEN-002-DRAFT01. That identifier belongs to the Policy Compliance Dashboard’s first draft, not to the PPM Dates proposal.

The surrounding records make the mismatch checkable. In the same agenda, the Dashboard session at 11:05–11:55 carries its current identifier, AFPUB-2026-GEN-002-DRAFT02. AFRINIC’s current proposal index lists PPM Dates as D1, submitted on 29 August and “Under Discussion,” with AFPUB-2026-GEN-003-DRAFT01; the proposal’s own page confirms that number. The archived Dashboard DRAFT01 page says it was superseded on 25 September by DRAFT02. The agenda lists DPP 6 separately at 15:15–16:05 and the reminder set 18 October as the deadline for one new proposal.

The document is expressly a draft. The evidence supports a title-to-identifier discrepancy in that version, not an explanation for it. A wrong identifier can point a reader to a different record, but the public material reviewed here does not show that anyone relied on the line, that discussion was affected, or whether a later agenda corrected it. Both current proposals remain marked “Under Discussion”; no policy outcome follows from this finding.

A traceable correction would publish a dated replacement agenda, retain the earlier draft in the public history, and show each item’s title, proposal ID and draft number together. That makes the correction auditable without silently rewriting the record.
