What happened: Duos edge AI to deploy data centre in Victoria
Duos Technologies Group, Inc. has announced that its subsidiary, Duos Edge AI, will collaborate with Region 3 Education Service Center (ESC) to deploy a new Edge Data Centre (EDC) in Victoria, Texas. This initiative marks a significant step in the company’s nationwide expansion strategy, focusing on rural markets and supporting educational growth.
The new EDC will cater to 37 school districts across South Texas, providing them with secure, scalable, and high-performance computing resources. The facility, designed for rapid deployment and tailored to comply with SOC 2 Type II standards, will deliver essential services such as AI-based learning tools, telemedicine applications, and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Doug Recker, President of Duos Edge AI, highlighted that this partnership would not only accelerate digital equity in underserved regions but also contribute to the company’s sustainable growth by fostering long-term relationships with local communities and businesses.

Why it’s important
This collaboration is crucial for addressing the digital divide in rural communities, particularly in education and healthcare. By providing local access to advanced computing infrastructure, the new data centre will enable the delivery of high-demand services like AI learning platforms, which are becoming increasingly integral to modern education. In doing so, Duos Edge AI supports the region’s long-term educational and economic development.
Dr. Morris Lyon, Executive Director of Region 3 ESC, emphasised the strategic importance of this partnership, noting that it aligns with the ESC’s mission to enhance educational outcomes for the 52,000 students in its jurisdiction. The Edge Data Centre will bring cutting-edge technology closer to end users, ensuring minimal latency for time-sensitive applications and driving innovation in rural school systems.
This deployment is part of Duos Edge AI’s broader 2025 roadmap, which aims to deploy 15 EDCs by the end of the year. With ongoing negotiations and additional sites under consideration, the company is well on track to expand its footprint across the Southeast and Midwest regions.
