The registered identity, verified live

The starting point is administrative and now firmly established. RIPEstat lists AS210973 as DATAMATIX-AS, held by DATAMATIX Datensysteme GmbH under organisation ORG-DDG16-RIPE, allocated by RIPE NCC on 2021-07-30, with country AT (RIPEstat). The RIPE organisation object carries register number FN240683x and the address Märzstraße 1, 1150 Wien, with the aut-num last modified 2023-06-05.

That register number is the hinge. The Austrian Firmenbuch entry FN 240683x records DATAMATIX Datensysteme GmbH, entered on 18 October 2003, seated at Märzstraße 1/Top 2.7, 1150 Wien, with Stammkapital of EUR 36,000, Michael Kastelic as managing director and sole shareholder, and Ing. Patrick Romberger, BSc as Prokurist since 23 September 2021 (evidence.gv.at). The commercial register mirror at Firmenabc corroborates the same identity (Firmenabc). The match between the registry reg-nr and the Firmenbuch number is what prior articles could only hypothesize; it is now demonstrated. The company's own impressum is consistent with a Vienna-based operator (datamatix.at).

What the routing layer shows

Three monitors agree on the core picture. RIPEstat lists four originated IPv4 prefixes — 149.62.35.0/24, 194.0.132.0/24, 212.236.9.0/24 and 212.236.10.0/24 (RIS snapshot 2026-09-11) — plus IPv6 2a10:fd00::/32 (RIPEstat). bgp.tools (bgp.tools) and Hurricane Electric (bgp.he.net) agree on four IPv4 plus one IPv6, with four RPKI-valid and zero invalid origins; the rpki-client console corroborates validity for AS210973 (rpki-client).

The agreement breaks on one prefix. cidr-report shows only three prefixes totalling 768 addresses, announced via upstreams AS24953 and AS8245 (cidr-report). Qrator Radar, over a 2026-05-20 to 2026-08-20 window, lists the same three IPv4 prefixes plus the IPv6 and omits 194.0.132.0/24 (Qrator Radar). IPinfo likewise lists exactly three netblocks, omitting 194.0.132.0/24 (IPinfo). The discrepancy is therefore precisely localized: 194.0.132.0/24 appears in RIPEstat and in the RPKI set but is absent from three independent external views. Whether it is genuinely announced globally, from which vantage points, or merely a route-object artifact is an open question this evidence cannot settle.

Upstreams and attribution conflicts

The upstream picture is similarly layered. bgp.tools and IPinfo name three upstreams or peers: AS8218 (Zayo), AS8245 (Video-Broadcast GmbH) and AS24953 (NETPLANET GmbH) (bgp.tools; IPinfo). cidr-report's adjacency shows only AS24953 and AS8245 (cidr-report), and the RIPE aut-num import/export statements name only AS8245 and AS24953. AS8218's role — active upstream, historical adjacency, or backup — is unverified.

Attribution of the 212.236.9.0/24 block diverges by source: IPinfo attributes 212.236.9.0/24 and .10/24 to DATAMATIX Datensysteme GmbH (bgp.he.net net view), while the IPIP WHOIS mirror attributes both to Video-Broadcast GmbH (whois.ipip.net) and ipregistry describes them as "DATAMATIX-01" and "Rapid Solution Development" (ipregistry). Contact data is similarly inconsistent across cached WHOIS mirrors, with different last-modified dates indicating snapshots taken at different times. These are attribution-layer conflicts, not registry conflicts; they matter for anyone assessing who actually serves which address space.

What is proven, what is not

The closed links: registry identity (AS210973 to ORG-DDG16-RIPE), corporate identity (FN240683x in the Firmenbuch), RPKI validity for originated prefixes, and current external visibility of at least three IPv4 prefixes and one IPv6. The open links: infrastructure control, customer relationships, service delivery and revenue. A registered, RPKI-valid, externally visible ASN is a testable operating footprint, not a proven business. The 2018-dated netname (AT-DATAMATIX-20180831) and LIR membership suggest the company became a routing operator sometime before the 2021 ASN allocation, but the why and when remain undocumented in public sources.
