This upgrade is designed to accommodate the increasing demand for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads, as well as multicloud interconnection services from nearly 40,000 customer connections.
The deployment will utilize Nokia’s 7250 Interconnect Router (IXR-s) and 7750 Service Router (SR) platforms, leveraging Nokia’s FP5 silicon for consistent performance under growing traffic loads. Additionally, the integration will employ Nokia’s Service Router Operating System (SR OS) to ensure seamless integration with CoreSite’s existing systems.
Chris Malayter, Vice President of Network and Interconnection at CoreSite, emphasized the importance of this upgrade in meeting market demands and providing customers with reliable access to mission-critical applications. Vach Kompella, Senior Vice President and General Manager of IP Networks at Nokia, highlighted the collaboration’s role in managing increased traffic demands while ensuring low latency and reliable interconnection services essential to the modern digital economy.
