YONECO leads climate-health interventions. In April 2024, trained community health workers in Machinga’s TA Mposa conducted awareness campaigns in 15 villages, reaching over 8,200 people through a climate‑health literacy initiative. They teach resilience measures, such as boiling water to prevent cholera and proper use of mosquito nets during floods and droughts. The organisation drives transparency locally by enabling communities to hold duty-bearers accountable through community dialogues, budget tracking and radio talkbacks.
