The fact

Airties launched its Aura AI engine on 8 September and named Turknet as the first broadband operator to deploy it through the existing Airties Home platform. Aura uses connectivity, device and application data to diagnose problems and recommend or carry out actions. For support teams, it can add summaries and suggested fixes to existing Airties tools rather than requiring a separate interface.

For network and engineering teams, Airties says the software can support remote troubleshooting, configuration testing and firmware rollouts or rollbacks. Role-based permissions determine who can trigger actions, while approval workflows allow operators to keep selected changes under human control. Airties says Aura is intended to reduce repeat visits and improve first-contact resolution. It has not disclosed how many Turknet households are using the software or published measured results from the deployment.

The assessment

Aura could shorten the gap between finding a broadband problem and fixing it. A support agent may already know that a gateway needs a restart or configuration change but still have to pass the case to another team. If Turknet has approved that action in advance, more of the repair can stay within the same support workflow.

The limit is permission. Changing one customer's device is very different from rolling back firmware across a large group of homes. Airties gives operators role-based controls and approval workflows, leaving Turknet to decide which actions can run automatically and which still need an engineer to approve them.

For BTW readers, the deployment matters if more faults can be resolved during the first support interaction without creating wider problems. Repeat calls, technician visits, failed actions and rollbacks will show whether Aura is closing cases rather than simply diagnosing them faster.

What to watch

Watch which Aura actions Turknet allows to run automatically, which still require approval, and whether the deployment changes first-contact resolution, repeat calls, and technician visits. Firmware or configuration changes across larger customer groups will be especially important because their potential impact is much wider than a fix applied to one home.
