What happened

Rimac unveiled the Nevera R, a high-performance electric hypercar that takes the original Nevera to new heights with significant enhancements. This new model boasts a 2,107 horsepower engine, making it 200hp more powerful than its predecessor, and features advanced technologies like the R-AWTV (All-Wheel Torque Vectoring) system for improved control on both roads and tracks. The Nevera R also retains the record-breaking acceleration of its predecessor, achieving 0 to 60 mph in just 1.74 seconds, but with even finer precision.

In addition to its power and speed upgrades, the Nevera R comes equipped with a 108kWh battery pack, offering an estimated 250-mile range, though it has yet to be certified. This hypercar will be a limited edition, with only 40 units available worldwide, each priced at $2.5 million. Rimac’s latest creation not only builds on its legacy of breaking automotive records but also emphasises the brand’s shift from the Grand Tourer comfort of the original Nevera to a more performance-focused vehicle designed to dominate on both the track and the road.
