What happened
Indosat Ooredoo hutchison, Indonesia’s largest digital telecommunications company, has completed a major core network integration project in Jakarta in collaboration with global ICT solutions provider Huawei. With over 100 million users and 26 core locations in Indonesia, completing the integration and transition to the cloud core in just 14 months is a remarkable achievement. It has greatly improved the network experience of Indosat users across the country, especially in rural and remote areas.
When Kalimantan residents use Facebook, the average download speed will increase by 15% and the round trip time (RTT) will decrease by 11%. In addition, users in Central Java also enjoyed better performance when using the Internet to play games and live video.
Since the core network is a key component of the mobile network, both teams have worked tirelessly to analyse and review solutions for network integration, ensuring that they adhere to the philosophy of being “right the first time.”
