EA developed AI tools to convert college-supplied headshots into detailed 3D avatars, and while the AI wasn’t always successful in its first attempts, by adjusting the imagery and data, it ultimately achieved a model that satisfied the need of the model.

The models for the new game are not as detailed as the Madden NFL models, but they are more personalised than the generic players in previous versions. Each player received a deluxe version of the game and a minimum of $600, with more influential players receiving higher payouts for promotion on game covers and social media.
