What happened

Xreal unveils its latest AR product this week. Beam Pro, which is an improved version of Xreal Beam and solves all the problems of earlier models. When used with Xreal’s AR glasses, it can turn Google PlayStore apps into 3D experiences. The device costs $200 and will begin shipping in mid-July.

More than just a companion device, the Xreal Beam Pro’s touch screen acts as a control center, allowing you to manage the visuals of your Xreal glasses. Beam Pro is powered by XREAL’s self-developed nebulaOS operating system, which is based on a new framework for spatial computing to provide a powerful spatial experience. With nebulaOS, Beam Pro is able to present mobile APP content in 3D space, enabling 2D to 3D conversion.

Unlike Meta having problems with app store fill, Xreal provides direct access to a large number of 3D apps in the Play store, putting them at the forefront of the AR app ecosystem.

According to data from market research firm IDC, XREAL’s Air series AR glasses have a 43% share of the global consumer AR glasses market, and the Beam Pro and Air series glasses have a placement ratio of more than 70%.
