The fact

Vodafone Group, through its VodafoneThree unit, has worked with the UK's National Physical Laboratory to develop a network timekeeping method accurate to within 40 nanoseconds. The system uses NPL's fibre-based technology as an alternative to satellite-based GNSS timing, designed to meet 5G-Advanced frequency requirements and support future 6G readiness. Vodafone plans to reduce GNSS dependence across its European operations, with the system being prepared for testing and wider evaluation.
