Skynopy, a French NewSpace startup, raised $16 million to grow its satellite ground station services. This funding round was completed in just one month. Investors in this round included Alven, Expansion, Omnes, and CNES through the SpaceFounders programme. Heartcore, a European fund that had already invested in Skynopy, also joined this funding round. Skynopy aims to establish a network of ground stations that provide real-time data downlink services for satellites, particularly those focused on Earth observation.

The company was founded in late 2023 and has already deployed more than 15 antennas in its network. It has also partnered with companies like AWS and Kinéis to expand its reach. This investment will enable Skynopy to rapidly establish a global network of antennas, enabling it to compete with other companies that have taken years to set up similar systems. The funding will be used to support commercial deployment and strengthen the technical and marketing teams.
