On July 25, the Director General of the Société Congolaise des Postes et Télécommunications (SCPT) arrived in Kolwezi, Lualaba province, as part of her ongoing inspection tour in the Grand Katanga region. The visit aimed to assess SCPT’s facilities and address key challenges facing the organisation.
SCPT Director General’s Inspection in Kolwezi
Upon her arrival in Kolwezi, Madame le Directeur Général of SCPT was warmly welcomed by SCPT executives and advisors from the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and New Information and Communication Technologies (PTNTIC). Shortly after, she chaired a strategic meeting with regional and provincial directors to discuss the current state of SCPT’s operations in the area.
During her inspection of SCPT’s Kolwezi installations, the Director General noted a mix of positive and concerning observations. In particular, she highlighted property mismanagement issues affecting SCPT’s real estate assets. The Director General has pledged that these challenges will be addressed through measures designed to enhance work conditions, balance operational efficiency, and improve product commercialisation and customer service.
“Positive measures will follow this inspection to improve work conditions and align our operations with local challenges, especially in terms of product commercialisation and customer needs.”
