NEXCOM launches the NDiS B340, a compact and fanless edge PC designed for industrial and commercial edge deployments. The system supports an optional dockable PCIe expansion module that adds a half-length PCIe x4 slot, allowing integrators to install add-in cards such as PoE networking, high-speed capture cards, or other custom modules without redesigning the base system. The platform supports low-power Intel processors, including Intel Atom X series as well as Intel N97 and N150 CPUs, enabling customers to balance performance, power efficiency and thermal management across different deployment scenarios, according to a report by Telco News.

The base configuration includes dual HDMI 2.0 outputs supporting 4K at 60 Hz, dual 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports, six USB 2.0 ports, multiple serial interfaces supporting RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485, and GPIO for industrial control systems. Additional M.2 slots support cellular connectivity, wireless modules and solid-state storage. Security features include TPM 2.0 and watchdog support for reliable, unattended, long-term operation.
