The sanctions against Huawei
The U.S. put Huawei on the trade restriction list in 2019 for violating Iranian sanctions. Huawei needs to obtain a special license to receive semiconductors from U.S. companies.
However, after Intel received a license to supply CPU to Huawei in 2020, hardliners in the U.S. demanded the license be canceled.
