Copyright-assignment confirmation procedure · The proposed procedure changes from LACNIC requesting a separate written confirmation signed with a digital certificate or equivalent to authors confirming copyright assignment as part of the online submission form. The assignment remains limited to the LACNIC context and intended to permit continuation of abandoned proposals.

Screening and admission of competing proposals · The new version removes the proposed requirements for LACNIC to check with the chairs for potentially plagiaristic competing proposals, to admit only the first proposal when simultaneous competing proposals cannot be merged, and to label rejected proposals “Not Accepted” with reasons.

Coordination of competing or complementary proposals · The detailed staff-and-chair procedures for simultaneous or overlapping proposals are replaced by a chair responsibility to try, during the two-week period before publication, to coordinate with authors on merging competing or complementary proposals. The replacement no longer specifies synchronized timelines, sequential presentation, or joint consensus decisions for overlapping proposals.
