Summary

  • ARIN’s 3 November transfer export contains eight 2026 rows from St Mary’s University, all tied to a 16 May 1990 source registration. Their disjoint ranges total 63,488 IPv4 addresses: 55,296 to Salesforce-named recipients across ARIN, APNIC and RIPE NCC, and 8,192 to REDSWITCHES PTE. LTD. through RIPE NCC.
  • ARIN’s current RDAP answer names the university on 140.184.0.0–140.184.7.255. That /21 contains the 2,048 addresses left after the eight transfers are subtracted from the original 65,536-address /16.

Start at the top of the old allocation and walk forward. The university retains 140.184.0.0/21. Salesforce takes the next /21 through RIPE NCC, then another /21 through APNIC. The following two /22s split between ARIN and RIPE NCC. At 140.184.32.0, REDSWITCHES’ /19 interrupts the Salesforce run. Three more Salesforce ranges finish the /16: a /19 in ARIN, a /19 in RIPE NCC, and the final /17 in ARIN.

That is eight nonoverlapping transfers, not eight whole-block sales. ARIN’s export distinguishes each original registration envelope from the precise transferred range. Counting the envelopes would count some addresses more than once. Counting the transferred endpoints produces a clean partition: 63,488 addresses moved, one contiguous /21 still registered to St Mary’s.

The first move in this set went to REDSWITCHES on 24 August. Three Salesforce transfers inside ARIN followed on 14 October; APNIC’s current RDAP confirms the /21 that crossed on 21 October. The last three rows, all to RIPE NCC, were dated 2 November. ARIN’s remnant RDAP was also last changed that day. These are registry dates. The public files give no contract price or network cutover schedule.

The two Salesforce spellings in the export are also worth keeping exact: Salesforce, Inc. and SalesForce.com, Inc. The arithmetic groups them as Salesforce-named recipients; the records alone do not prove the legal relationship between the two labels in these transactions.

The result is a remarkably legible remnant. Ask ARIN for the university’s old /16 today and the answer has shrunk to its first /21. To reconstruct the other 63,488 addresses, a reader must follow eight dated receipts across three registry destinations.
