Summary

  • Altie Jackson won the fifth of five ARIN Advisory Council seats with 515 organizational votes; incumbent Doug Camin finished sixth with 500.
  • Four other incumbents won new terms. The single change matters in the elected body that shepherds number-resource policy proposals to ARIN’s Board.

ARIN’s 2026 Advisory Council ballot kept most of the old guard and moved the last chair by fifteen votes. Matthew Wilder led with 672, followed by Elizabeth Goodson on 641, Kaitlyn Pellak on 558 and Leif Sawyer on 523. All four are incumbents. Altie Jackson took the fifth seat with 515. Doug Camin, also an incumbent, finished sixth with 500. The five winners begin three-year terms on 1 January 2027.

The last available chair sits inside ARIN’s policy machinery. ARIN says its 15 elected Advisory Council members advise the Board on Internet number-resource policy and forward consensus-based proposals for ratification. Its Policy Development Process gives councillors the work of discussing changes to the Number Resource Policy Manual and facilitating community debate. The chair assigns individual councillors as proposal shepherds. A change of councillor changes who can take part in that work. January assignments will show which proposals Jackson follows.

ARIN published the verified result on 2 November. It reports 1,073 General Member organizations voting through 898 contacts, 45.7% of 2,350 eligible organizations. Jackson’s 48.00% and Camin’s 46.60% share that organizational denominator. Individual ballot combinations and voter motives remain unpublished. The record is decisive on the fifth chair: Jackson won it by fifteen organizational votes.
