- Facilio’s Connected Retail is a one-stop solution for multi-site store operators to streamline facility operations.
Facilio, the property operations software company, has released a ready-to-deploy refrigerant tracking and leak detection software solution. This is intended for all owners of grocery stores and convenience stores who wish to achieve 100% compliance by identifying and mitigating possible refrigerant leaks through the use of an automatic leak detection system.
Reasons for launching
Store operators who violate the new rules under the proposed American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act risk stiff fines of up to US$57,000 per day if they don’t follow the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) 608 regulations.
The increasing amount of paperwork, fines, and legal fees keep store operators up at night. They can now make decisions based on real-time data in addition to having their audit-ready reports thanks to an advanced AI tool like ours. According to Basant Singhatwadia, director of customer success and head of the retail division at Facilio, “the automated proactive signalling mechanism triggers alerts to swiftly identify and mitigate potential refrigerant leaks, ensuring operational continuity and sustainability.”
Part of Facilio’s well-known IoT solution, connected retail, which powers the store operations tech for US and UK retail brands across 13,000 sites, is the refrigerant tracking and leak detection module. In the US, 300 grocery and convenience store locations received the beta version of the software solution for refrigerant compliance and leak detection.
