    Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications issued written administrative guidance to LY Corporation after a LINE game-development partner transmitted MID identifiers and other specified user information to a third-party analytics service. The ministry says the path operated without LY Corporation’s approval and without the required user notice or confirmation opportunity. It counted about 8.03 million records, including about 7.52 million associated with users in Japan.
