• Pre-engineered unit combines engine, UPS, switchgear, controls, and enclosures
  • Modular, technology-agnostic design positions AVK beyond generator supply into full power systems

The fact

AVK has launched the AVK PowerPod, a modular power system for hyperscale and AI data centres. The pre-engineered, transportable unit comprises an engine, switchgear, UPS, controls, and enclosures. It can operate grid-connected or off-grid. AVK states the system is available as bespoke units and is technology-agnostic. The product is available to order in the UK and EU.

The Assessment

The launch extends AVK's role from generator supply into full power train delivery. Modular deployment and a technology-agnostic approach respond to operator demand for integrated, flexible energy solutions. This follows March's agreement with Pure Data Centres to deliver Europe's first microgrid-powered data centre in Dublin, operating independently of the national grid. The PowerPod marks a shift into on-site power infrastructure beyond individual equipment supply.

What to Watch

Watch for PowerPod adoption among hyperscale operators and AVK's execution of integrated power deployments across UK and EU markets.
