On 11 March 2024, Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), a unit trust management firm operating under the umbrella of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), announced the launch of a new feature named RIA in its myASNB application.

RIA, standing for Robo Investment Advisor, is specifically developed to streamline the investment process, making it straightforward and accessible to all Malaysians. Muzzaffar Othman, CEO and Executive Director of ASNB, expressed his enthusiasm about introducing RIA in the Malaysian market, highlighting it as a significant step towards democratizing investment opportunities. Core features and benefits RIA aims to revolutionise how individuals approach investing by providing tailored investment portfolios and automating essential operations such as recurring deposits with its Auto Labur feature.

It addresses several barriers that typically deter people from investing, including challenges related to financial literacy, high initial investment requirements, and a general lack of access to expert financial advice. By mitigating these concerns, RIA empowers Malaysians from various backgrounds to take control of their financial destinies in a user-friendly manner.
