New Ipad Mini
On Tuesday, Apple launched its latest generation of the iPad mini, featuring advanced AI capabilities, including enhanced writing tools and an improved Siri assistant. This move is part of Apple’s strategy to integrate artificial intelligence into its devices. The new iPad mini is powered by the A17 Pro chip, which also fuels the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. This six-core central processing unit boosts CPU performance by 30% compared to previous iPad mini generations and plays a crucial role in supporting Apple Intelligence, Apple’s AI software.
Apple plans to roll out the initial set of AI features in the U.S. version of English through a software update with iPadOS 18.1 this month. These features will be available on iPads equipped with A17 Pro or M1 chips and newer models. Additional features, such as image-generation tools, Genmoji, and ChatGPT-powered functionalities, are expected to be introduced over the coming months.

Iphone 16 Lineup
In September, Apple unveiled its AI-enhanced iPhone 16 lineup; however, some investors expressed disappointment as the AI features were still in testing, raising concerns about demand based on early sales data. Despite this, research firm Canalys noted that the iPhone 16 could bolster Apple’s sales in the fourth quarter and maintain momentum into the first half of 2025, following record high shipments in the third quarter.
The iPad mini, starting at $499, is available for pre-order, with deliveries set to begin next week. By introducing these AI features, Apple aims to strengthen its product offerings and appeal to consumers seeking advanced technology in their devices. The company’s commitment to integrating AI reflects the growing importance of artificial intelligence in the tech landscape, as competition in the sector continues to intensify.
