Evidence and uncertainty

The 5 March job-cut claim originates with anonymous-source reporting, not Oracle. Bloomberg is the original report and Reuters is the relay; neither establishes a final executed count.

The 10 March release and 10-Q provide official post-report evidence of capex, financing, severance expense and smaller AI-assisted development teams. The later 10-K confirms substantial restructuring, but it must not be backdated or used to allocate every headcount change to layoffs.

Causal language remains bounded: infrastructure intensity and workforce restructuring occurred together. The public record does not prove that one was the sole cause of the other.
