With an order of 50 eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) vehicles, Eve Air Mobility, the electric aerial vehicle (EAV) maker, is expanding the global market of eVTOL vehicles.
About eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) vehicles
Electric aerial vehicle (EAV) maker Eve Air Mobility recently selected Honeywell for navigation, sensors, landing, taxi and lighting systems for its flying vehicles. In addition, Eve Air also plans to employ Honeywell’s GPS-aided attitude heading reference systems and inertial reference systems in its eVTOL vehicle. Those systems assist the pilots while navigating the eVTOL.
The fixed-wing EAV from Eve Air has a 60-mile range and flies vertically using a lift and cruise arrangement with eight propellers.
Eve attempts to employ seats from Recaro Aircraft Seating and horizontal and vertical tail, including the rudder and elevator, from FACC.
Eventually, the Eve Air vehicle is intended to achieve self-flight.

The market of eVTOL
The largest helicopter air charter service in Japan has ordered up to 50 eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) vehicles from the Electric aerial vehicle (EAV) maker Eve Air Mobility.
AirX Inc., a technology company, announced the opening of the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Center, the first eVTOL test field in the Greater Tokyo Area, and signed a letter of intent to purchase 10 EAVs from Eve Air with an option to purchase 40 more.
By 2026, when the first ten Eve eVTOLs are anticipated to be delivered, Eve Air and UrbanX in Miami intend to begin operating eVTOL commuter flights throughout South Florida.
In addition to Japan, Eve Air is working with customers in Australia, India and South Korea. It also has been working with cities, countries and regulatory authorities to establish concepts of operations in the U.S., Brazil and the U.K.
