• Combines carrier connectivity, SD-WAN and cloud-delivered security for branch offices, data centres and cloud environments
• 11:11 takes single-point responsibility across connectivity, routing and security layers, but fault boundaries with Cato and carriers remain undefined
The fact
11:11 Systems has launched a managed SASE service worldwide using Cato Networks’ cloud-native platform. It combines carrier connectivity, SD-WAN and cloud-delivered security across branch offices, data centres, users and cloud environments.
The service includes zero-trust network access, firewall as a service, a secure web gateway, a cloud access security broker, threat protection and centralised monitoring. 11:11 will monitor and support the service around the clock, integrate alerts and incident handling with customers’ IT service-management systems, and manage carrier connections, SD-WAN and the SASE security layer. The company did not disclose pricing, named customers or implementation times.
The assessment
11:11 will manage carrier connectivity and the SD-WAN and security functions delivered through Cato’s platform. If a fault affects more than one layer, 11:11 would remain the customer’s point of contact and coordinate with the relevant carrier or Cato. To deliver that model, 11:11 must fit the service into each customer’s existing network and operating processes. During deployment, it will need to configure connectivity, routing and security policies, integrate alerts with service-management tools and define who handles faults at each layer.
The companies have not disclosed implementation times, service-level terms, responsibility boundaries or results from named deployments.
For BTW readers, 11:11 is making supplier coordination part of the managed service. It would act as the customer’s contact across connectivity, routing and security, but the launch does not define where that responsibility ends when a fault lies with Cato, an access carrier or the customer’s own systems.
What to watch
Watch for named deployments, implementation times and service-level terms that define 11:11’s responsibility across carrier connectivity, SD-WAN and Cato’s platform. Any disclosed account of a live incident involving an access carrier or Cato would document how responsibility was handled.
