Virgin Islands Public Telecommunications System, Inc.

Every website and email address ending in `.vi` depends on public authority records and running services staying aligned. Virgin Islands Public Telecommunications System, Inc. (VIPTS) is the company the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) names as manager of `.VI`, the country-code domain for the U.S. Virgin Islands. Through NIC.VI, VIPTS acts as the registry: the operator that maintains domain registrations and the control points that direct internet name lookups. This matters now because the current IANA record and NIC.VI agreement make the responsibility visible, while a stale contact, incorrect name-server record, failed renewal, or unavailable registration-data service can still block a domain change or verification. The public evidence supports an audit of those duties and continuity risks. It does not prove VIPTS's private architecture, uptime, registration volume, incident history, or customer results.
