Ofcom's 13 October 2025 penalty against 4chan Community Support LLC was an information-power case before it became a wider content-safety case. Ofcom later escalated the same investigation into GBP 520,000 of March 2026 safety-duty penalties for age assurance, risk assessment and terms-of-service failures.
