OUR TAKE:
Microsoft’s clarification on the ability to uninstall OneDrive in Windows 11 is a positive move, as it provides users with more control over their devices and software. This update reflects Microsoft’s commitment to providing users with control over their software and services. By addressing the issue promptly, Microsoft demonstrates its responsiveness to user feedback and ensures that users can make informed decisions regarding their cloud storage options.

Windows 11 users can uninstall OneDrive either, not only Windows 10. Microsoft has made it clearer with a change to a support document.
Microsoft has updated some of its support documents, clarifying both Windows 10 and 11 users can uninstall OneDrive
Microsoft has clarified that Windows 11 users can uninstall OneDrive, dispelling any confusion that arose from its support documentation. Previously, the document only mentioned Windows 10, leading some users to believe that OneDrive removal was not possible on Windows 11. Microsoft has now updated the document.
The inclusion of Windows 11 reaffirms that users have the option to completely remove OneDrive from their devices, just as they could with Windows 10. Additionally, Microsoft has provided further instructions on stopping OneDrive syncing and other related details.
Oddly, though, another support document on the way to ‘Turn off OneDrive in Windows’ still only mentions Windows 10, but Windows 11. However, it’s reasonable to see it as Microsoft is in the process of updating, and just hasn’t reached that page yet.

It’s simple to remove OneDrive
Microsoft’s action of updating may be the need to comply with new European regulations, such as the Digital Markets Act. By ensuring transparency and clarity in its support documentation, Microsoft aims to provide users with the necessary information to manage their OneDrive settings effectively.
To uninstall OneDrive from either Windows 10 or Windows 11, users can follow a simple process, which is simple. All you need to do is ‘Add or remove programs,’ search for Microsoft OneDrive (located under ‘M’), and select Uninstall. What’s more, it doesn’t mean that you’re completely nuking your OneDrive account, in case there’s any doubt. All your files will still be in OneDrive when you visit the site on the web, just as usual.
