Context

Space42 , a UAE-based AI-driven SpaceTech company, has signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding with Angola’s Military Intelligence and Security Service (SISM) . The deal was formalised in Luanda during the UAE president’s official state visit to Angola. Under the agreement, both parties will work together on advanced satellite communications, Earth observation, artificial intelligence, high-altitude platforms, national security drones, border control systems and command-and-control centre development. Space42 already operates in Angola providing full coverage via its YahClick satellite service. This partnership will extend its infrastructure with enhanced capabilities from the upcoming Thuraya-4 satellite. High-level meetings between Space42’s executives and Angolan officials led to live demonstrations of space-based intelligence and AI-powered technologies, paving the way for the deeper technical collaboration now formalised.
