Bank of Finland (Suomen Pankki), founded 1812 under Tsar Alexander I, is one of the world's four oldest surviving central banks and is wholly state-owned. Based in Helsinki, it serves as Finland's national central bank within the Eurosystem, with Governor Olli Rehn (reappointed 2025) holding a rotating seat on the ECB Governing Council.
