  • OBIT Ltd. and the price of owning network reliability

    OBIT has spent more than two decades moving away from the economics of a pure connectivity reseller. It controls a visible routing footprint, operates fibre and support capabilities, sells managed technology alongside telecom services and has backed data-centre capacity with the same owners. That control gives the company a chance to charge businesses for local accountability and redundancy. It also leaves OBIT carrying the cost of upstream capacity, equipment replacement, field response, regulation and spare infrastructure before an outage ever happens. The central question is therefore not whether OBIT can sell reliability, but whether customers pay enough for it to create value after all
